CEPAMS研究组长招聘启示

发布时间:2021.08.11

We are recruiting tenure-track Group Leaders to join CEPAMS and deliver internationally outstanding and innovative research programmes.

CEPAMS Group Leaders have joint affiliation between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology or the CAS Centre for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences, together with the John Innes Centre in the UK.

Our Group Leaders are encouraged to make the most of this unique status and develop a strong international outlook for their research.

Applications from female candidates and international candidates are especially welcome.

International scientists have assimilated successfully in CEPAMS, both scientifically and culturally (for example, Canadian, Greek and Korean Group Leaders working in Shanghai).

Further information can be obtained from the Co-Directors of CEPAMS Xiaofeng Cao (+86 10 64806631) or email Ray Dixon (+44 1603 450747).

  How to apply

Applications should be made by emailing a CV and covering letter to Lei Qi.

Your CV should include a recent photograph and the names and contact details of three academic referees.

In addition, you should provide statements of current and future research plans (no more than three A4 pages for each).

The CV should also include a brief synopsis of up to five key publications following the guidance provided.

There is no closing date and applications will be considered as they are received.

  More information about the role

CEPAMS Group Leaders work in state of the art laboratories in either Shanghai or Beijing.

They are offered a very competitive package including an internationally-benchmarked salary and generous start-up funding for equipment, staff and research costs.

For international candidates, assistance with housing and/or international schooling costs is negotiable.

In comparison with Europe or North America, those appointed as CEPAMS Group Leaders can expect very rapid growth of their Group in the first 12-24 months, rapid scientific outputs and good prospects for external grant income.

Although employed by CAS, CEPAMS Group Leaders are members of the John Innes Centre faculty and benefit in terms of mentoring, collaboration, training, access to technology platforms in the UK and attendance at internal John Innes Centre scientific meetings.
